In short
This website is a simple set of pages describing a product we are building. There is nothing to sign up for and no forms to fill in.
We only receive information about you if you choose to start a chat or book a call. If you just read the page and leave, we do not build a profile of you.
What we do not do
It is easier to start here, because the list is short and it is genuine:
- No accounts, no logins, no passwords.
- No sign-up or contact forms on this site.
- No analytics of any kind — no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no visitor tracking.
- No advertising, and no sharing or selling of your details to anyone.
- No newsletter list. We will not email you because you visited.
What happens when you visit
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver the page and keep it secure — such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is standard hosting activity and we do not use it to identify you.
If you use the live chat
We use Tawk.to for the chat widget in the corner of the page. It is a third-party service.
If you send us a message, we receive whatever you choose to type — typically your name, email address, company and your question. Tawk.to also sets cookies and processes technical data in order to run the chat and keep your conversation together across pages.
Please do not send sensitive information in the chat. No passwords, no card numbers, and no personal details about your own customers.
Tawk.to acts as our processor for these messages. Their own privacy notice is at tawk.to/privacy-policy.
When the chat loads
The chat is not loaded until you ask for it. Nothing is requested from Tawk.to, and no chat cookies are set, unless you press the chat button. If you never open the chat, Tawk.to never sees your visit.
If you book a call
The “book a call” link takes you to Cal, a separate booking service. Once you are there, you are on their site and their privacy notice applies. They will ask for the details needed to arrange a meeting, such as your name, email address and a time.

We set no cookies of our own, and none for advertising or analytics.
Why we are allowed to hold this
- Chat messages and booking details — because you contacted us and expect a reply. In data protection terms, this is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our product.
- Hosting and security records — our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and safe.
How long we keep it
Chat conversations are kept while we are still talking to you and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. If you ask us to delete your conversation, we will.
We do not keep a marketing database, because we do not have one.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it, or restrict how we use it;
- provide it to you in a portable form.
Ask us in the chat, or when you book a call, and we will deal with it. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is aimed at people running renovation and bathroom-fitting businesses. It is not intended for children.
Changes
QuoteProof is an early-stage product and this notice will change as the product does. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. If we begin collecting anything materially different, we will say so here before we start.
